also known as "Khoya"
Heat the milk in a pan on medium heat.
Heat & stir until the milk completely thickens and forms the Khoya particles
Scrape the milk solids from the sides and add to the milk.
Stir and scrap the mixture constantly.
Scrap the sides of the pan
This is how the milk looks when it is three quaters reduced
Turn off the flame but still keep stirring it.
Remove it from the flame and let it cool.
Take 1 litre milk in a Kadhai or 5 cup of milk
200 grams Mawa is prepared in 1 litre of milk
Turn on the burner.
Cook it till it becomes thick in the same flame.
Stir it with spoon touching the bottom of Kadhai after every 2 or 3 minutes
Scratch the bottom of kadhai with spoon regularly now.
Mawa is now ready
The fresh Mawa prepared at home is ready now.
